Had a last-minute chance to attend again the Carolinas Virginia Business Brokers Association (CVBBA)‘s annual conference in Cary, North Carolina. This is a well-organized event where business brokers, bankers and growth advisors meet to share experiences, learn and network.

Some sessions that stood out this year, included Mike Metzger‘s 10-year look-back on his career as a broker (and what a ride he had!), a session hosted by Richard B. “Rick” Chess, Van Daughtry, MBA, and Eric Perkins on growing and selling franchises, and Tony Khoury, and Rupesh Bharad, sharing about how they built their multi-location business brokerage practices.

Shoutout to Stacey Heller, and Rory McDermott for ensuring the event ran smoothly. I’ll be back in 2027!
