STEP Rocks™ is a simple, disciplined system for choosing and delivering the few initiatives that matter most each quarter. Leaders pick one to three Rocks each, plan concrete Rock‑Steps™, and use weekly reviews to keep momentum and accountability.

Using the STEP lens — Specific, Transparent, Elevating, and Periodic — teams define clear outcomes, show progress openly, choose goals that raise the bar, and review regularly to stay on track.

Overview of STEP Rocks™ Setting

STEP Rocks™ training helps leadership teams set powerful quarterly priorities and execute them with confidence. Participants learn to construct a plan using a Rock-Step Planner™ worksheet, that clarifies what’s at stake, defines internal steps, anticipates risks, and establishes a cadence for review and course‑correction.

How STEP Rocks™ Work

• Specific — Start each Rock with a strong action verb and a clearly defined deliverable.

• Transparent — Make ownership and status visible so the team can support progress.

• Elevating — Choose initiatives that build growth capacity for the business.

• Periodic — Review weekly to maintain momentum and remove obstacles fast.

Two Types of STEP Rock™

  1. Aspirational STEP Rocks™ — Big, uncertain initiatives where 60–70% completion can count as success for the quarter.
  2. Committed STEP Rocks™ — All‑or‑nothing outcomes (e.g., launch, sign, ship) with a clear 100%‑done definition
