Playbook Manager™

Systematically drive the creation, training, enrichment, and streamlining of all your existing and new Playbooks.

How the Tool Is Used

Summit OS® describes the Playbook Manager as a way to manage and evolve internal systems by documenting, improving, and training around best practices. The worksheet turns that ongoing work into a schedule of ownership, definition, training, and optimization dates for each Playbook.

What’s Inside the Worksheet

  • A completed Playbook Manager example showing how multiple Playbooks can be tracked across the organization.
  • A field for the name of your business and a blank Playbook Manager table.
  • Columns for Playbook, Owner, Defined Date, Last Trained Date, Last Optimized Date, Next Trained Date, and Next Optimized Date.
  • Space to list all Playbooks and record both past and future dates for defining, training, and optimizing them.

Worksheet Steps

  1. List all of your organization’s Playbooks in the Playbook Manager.
  2. Identify the owner of each Playbook.
  3. Record when each Playbook was defined, last trained, and last optimized.
  4. Schedule the next training and optimization dates for each Playbook.
  5. Continue updating the Manager as existing Playbooks are enriched and streamlined and new Playbooks are created.
